Attention Score methodology
Attention Score is an OutbidGrow marketplace signal from 0–100. It is meant to answer one narrow question: is this product earning attention here? It is not a quality rating, revenue forecast or investment score.
Signals that count
- Deduplicated discovery visits from the reciprocal discovery flow.
- Filtered outbound website clicks recorded by OutbidGrow.
- Deduplicated public profile views.
- Visitor saves, with stronger weight because they express deliberate interest.
Signals that do not count
- Bid amount or money spent.
- Raw page refreshes and obvious bots.
- Admin activity, discovery unlocks as public clicks, or payment volume.
Current scoring curve
Recent signals are combined with relative weights: discovery 1.5, filtered outbound clicks 3, profile views 0.35 and current saves 8. The weighted total passes through a diminishing-returns curve so repeated activity cannot increase the score linearly forever. Momentum compares recent activity with the preceding period.
The formula may evolve as abuse patterns and marketplace behavior become clearer. Material changes should be documented in the changelog rather than silently rewriting history.
